The story became a document of their own action-research journey through meeting with community leaders, developing an interest in urban farming, and starting a community garden at school along with experts in harvesting food and developing natural cosmetics. With the objective of underwriting field research and promoting leadership development , the P.S. 14 Foundation has developed the Civil Society Fellowship Program.
The fellowship will fund a maximum of 12 months of research and initiative development towards a pressing Community/Economic Development topic of the Fellow’s choosing.
The program is intended to provide lessons from the field in the cross sections of the public, private, and social sectors of our society. Each cohort of fellows will produce a final report of their research findings and field data to be made publicly available. It is the mission of the Civil Society Fellowship Program to develop leaders in the field of Social Entrepreneurship.
